KLX Inc Sr Planner in Wichita, Kansas
Under general supervision, responsible for developing demand forecasts, driving continuous improvement of forecasts, and facilitating inventory consensus on across sales and procurement for a particular Sales Program as well as at the commodity level. This position involves a high level of interaction with a variety of business functions and also facilitates SlOP Demand Reviews for their assigned programs monthly.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Creates and develops 24 month rolling forecast using historical sales, market trends, and judgmental input for the assigned program.
Performs data analysis to identify parts where forecast adjustments need to be applied. Evaluate improvements in forecasting techniques, method and approach in order to increase the overall health of the program while balancing cash flow.
Works closely with the Sales Program Managers to obtain optimal input to assess judgmental changes to the forecast or inventory plan.
Prepare data and material for monthly SlOP demand review meetings with the assigned programs as well as facilitate monthly meetings
Monitors inventory levels of shelf life part groupings and presents proactive measures for re-purposing
Accountable for the following metrics for the assigned program & commodity: inventory health, on time delivery, purchasing past due, and forecast accuracy
Work closely with Supply Planners and buyers to get input on forecast adjustments based on actual sales, superseded parts, and part end of life.
Modify and maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for planning processes and systems.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Mgmt or Engineering or Finance or Related field of study
2-4 year's of related work experience
Forecasting, supply planning, production planning, or similar Supply Chain role
Basic ERP system functionality
Aggregating and summarizing large amounts of historical data and identifying trends or problems
Packaged supply chain planning software
Knowledge of key demand planning and inventory performance metrics, turns, margin contributions, etc.
General understanding of the elements of the supply chain process, and understands the information flow throughout demand and supply planning process
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Education: Master's Degree in Supply Chain Mgmt or Engineering or Finance or Related field of study
Certifications: APICS, CPIM
Significant relevant knowledge of service parts uniqueness; aerospace hardware
Ability to adapt changing business needs and priorities
Ability to multi-task
