We are currently seeking a Gunloader for our Platteville, CO location.

PURPOSE:

Under general supervision, loads, repairs and properly stores all perforating type guns as well as testing tools and equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

  • Performs a combination of gunloading duties, ensures guns are stocked, cleans, gauges and lubricates gun ports, loads explosive powder and/or chemicals into gun perforators and carriers, and assembles perforators

  • Performs explosives related duties, oversees explosive and HAZMAT inventories, processes, and assists with explosive inventory, ATF, and other company and regulatory agency records; tracks, logs, verifies, and reports on equipment using computer system

  • Performs a combination of shipping, loading, and unloading duties. Follows all standard shipping practices and procedures with full compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including additional transportation routing and scheduling requirements. Verifies and documents identity and quantity of all equipment

  • Performs general shop duties, receives, cleans, and prepares subs, tools, and equipment; inspects, redresses, and maintains all explosives related tools and equipment

  • Drives Company vehicles & equipment: wireline trucks, cranes, pickup truck, pickup truck with trailer

  • Ensures compliance with all regulations applicable to wireline explosives operations

  • Receives and processes field sales orders

  • Provides support to crew and liaise with management on equipment failure

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Less than High School Education

Work Experience: 0-2 years

Related Experience:

  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record

  • Ability to:

  • Communicate with personnel and customers

  • Obtain a Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement

  • Obtain a Notice of Clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives

  • Obtain a State Blaster License

  • Read and understand safety labels and postings

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent

Work Experience: 2-4 years

Related Experience:

  • ATF Employee Possessor of Explosives; Explosives safety (Specific to wireline operations)

  • State Blaster License

  • Relevant oilfield gunloading experience

  • Class A CDL with Hazmat Endorsement

  • Certification(s) / License(s):

  • Forklift Operator

  • Quality & HSE Certifications
