Job Summary

Perform various duties pertaining to picking stock from storage to fill orders, stocking storage shelves with incoming material and packaging material and products for shipment, making hose assembly, assist in receiving material, following established practices and procedures.

Essential Functions

Work from pick lists, shop orders, various charts and tables, other verbal or written information or instructions.

Sort pick lists from printed information regarding customer pick up's, UPS, common carrier or special instructions. Operate various material handling equipment such as hand jacks, carts, and fork lift to assemble material for orders or for stocking shelves. Set up and operate hose assembly equipment and saws. Use portable ladder to reach high shelves.

Assemble material, check for inclusion and identification of all items. Select and make up cartons, wrap, block and pack some items or deliver to UPS bench or shipper for packing and shipping. Pack and mark per customer requirements.

Check in material, verifying part number and quantity against purchase order.

Move material that has been received and checked in to designated storage area and stock shelves as required. Assign locations to all materials that do no have bin location in computer.

Assist and service walk-in customers are required. Build skids, load trucks, assist packer and shipper/receiver as work load necessitates. Be familiar with fabricating procedures.

Maintain the work area in a clean and orderly condition. Follow all safety rules, regulations and practices.

Assist in building maintenance.

Attend training seminars as designated by supervisor.

Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or instructed.

Assist order pickers in locating material.

Daily Cycle Counting.

Set-up of orders to be picked in a logical order.

Service Fabrication and Service Departments by providing material as required.

Perform order shipping “OS” as required.

KNOWLEDGE

Use of addition, subtraction, multiplication and the division of numbers including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, computer scanning devices, use of adjustable measuring instruments; checking of reports, forms, records and comparable data; where interpretation is required involving basic skills knowledge.

EXPERIENCE

Over 3 months up to and including 12 months.
