KLX Inc Inside Sales Representative in Northborough, Massachusetts

Job Summary

Perform proactive outbound sales contacts with retention, small expansion accounts and small new business cultivation accounts. Utilize target list provided to expose potential customers to the full depth and breadth of The Hope Group product offering.

Essential Functions
  • Develop and maintain an expertise in one or more of the following product categories:

  • Hydraulic

  • Automation

  • Fluid Connector

  • Seals

  • Air Compressors

  • Receiving and reviewing inquiries and orders, check to ensure correct identification of parts or units required. Price following established practices from records available or in conjunction with Inside Sales & Marketing Manager. Refer to factory for identification, additional information for products or units provided by or produced in factory.

  • Enter orders or inquiries into computer terminal providing all pertinent data and information from available sources and finalize order for customer.

  • Work with Inside Sales & Marketing Manager on more complex or major order situations to prepare pricing/quotations. Check customer orders against any quotations made, edit, write, and process.

  • Receive and investigate customer inquiries and complaints regarding deliveries, price, credit, or other matters. Supply information, initiate action and resolve within established practice and authorized responsibility. Refer policy matters to Inside Sales & Marketing Manager.

  • Source non-stock items with suppliers based on price and delivery and initiate purchase of required items. Utilize Hope Group customer service team as a technical resource and communicate with vendors to obtain technical or other information.

    6.Participate in and contribute to the QMS/BMS system. 7.Attend the daily 8:00AM Work Group meeting that occurs in the inside sales/purchasing area for ten minutes every morning to participate in the discussions and problem solving topics of the day.
  • Maintain all required records, logs, and reports. Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or instructed.

  • Record all contact data into appropriate CRM database.

Support The Hope Group BMS by following established processes and supporting their continual improvement.

Knowledge & Skills Required:

  • Requires an Associate’s / Bachelor’s Degree or technical education equivalent.


Substantiating Data



Thorough knowledge of inside sales procedures and techniques as well as specialized knowledge and training in one or more company products equivalent to high school plus specialized training or two years of college.



Over 3 years, up to and including 5 years
