Perform a variety of duties, pertaining mainly to the layout, assembly and testing of electrical panels.
When not performing electrical fabrication duties, individual will assist hydraulic technicians in assembly and fabrication of various fluid power systems.
Work from drawings, schematics, diagrams, photographs, bills of material, and other written or verbal information or instruction.
Use various hand and power tools and equipment, such as band saws, drill presses, etc.
Mount and wire electrical boxes and components according to schematics, codes, and acceptable procedures. Conduct specified tests, troubleshoot and make any necessary corrections.
Clean, mask and prep units for painting and operate spray painting equipment. Make up and apply required tag labels. Operate forklift to move units about the area and to prepare for shipping.
Cut, drill and tap electrical enclosures in accordance with customer/engineering layout drawings. Perform control soldering and programmable logic controller assembly were required. Perform programmable logic controller programming/trouble shooting when applicable.
Monitor and re-order all electrical stock including electrical wire, terminal connector, product and misc. electrical hardware.
Monitor and maintain all existing electrical tooling. Report equipment malfunctions and unusual situations to Production Manager.
Interface directly with engineering as the engineering/production coordinator for electrical panels regarding production revisions and clarifications.
Assist engineering as required panel layouts and troubleshooting issues.
Accountable for meeting delivery and production requirements as stated by engineering and specific customer requirements.
Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
Perform field service support when required in reference to electrical panel assembly and operation.
Follow all safety rules, regulations and practices.
Perform other similar or related duties as assigned or directed.
Use of elementary geometry, algebra and trigonometric principles together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables; various types of precision measuring instruments, NC/CNC equipment and personal computer to input data. Interpretation of data and measuring devices requiring advanced skills knowledge. Equivalent to 1 to 3 years applied electrical training.
Over 1 year up to and including 3 years.
