KLX Inc Sr Sales Representative in Cornwall, New York


Under limited supervision, serves as the point of contact for multiple customers (in excess of $1MM), including AOG (Aircraft on Ground) coverage for global customers. Attain or exceed monthly/quarterly/annual sales revenue and margin goals by maintaining highest quality and service standards. Develop new business through existing or potential customers.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Quotations (verbal and in writing) for stock and non-stock items (may include sourcing and spreadsheet process with Purchasing) ; Responsible for program and contract accounts with more complex customer specifics and requirements, higher value revenue, longer-term relationship, or are otherwise critical to the business

  • Resolves customer claims with functional departments (Accounting, Quality Assurance etc.), RMA handling, determine root cause, recommend and implement corrective actions; support Accounts Receivable with cash collection

  • Pro-actively monitor open order book, identify potential issues, and work cross-functionally to take necessary actions that ensure delivery performance and KPIs.

  • Initiates customer contract bid process with Contracts team for new bids and renewals and is responsible for quoting long-term agreements (which may include bin management programs), determines pricing, best possible margin, and service offerings to the customer

  • Maintain a professional yet personalized relationship with assigned customers. Grow existing customers by ensuring excellence in service and on-time responses; Train, mentor and coach Sales Representatives; Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

  • Negotiates price, freight, terms, etc., Drive revenue and profit through both inbound and outbound calls by utilizing persuasive sales techniques (i.e. upselling selling, cross-selling)

  • Collaborates with Purchasing on the inventory purchases to support major customers; Recommend changes in products, pricing, and services by evaluating results and competitive developments and disadvantages to stakeholders/ other functions (i.e. Product line, E-commerce, Outside Sales)

  • Identify potential customers and develop new business based on product and market knowledge; work with sales management on establishing strategic customer relationships, long term customer contracts and value added service strategy; Identify existing customers who would benefit by having access to our e-commerce website; set up, train customers, and facilitate feedback between customer and internal e-commerce and IT teams on functionality and usefulness of e-commerce site.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Marketing or Business Administration or Supply Chain or Communications or Related field of study

  • 4-6 year's of related work experience

  • Proficient knowledge in all MS Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint) applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Business Administration or Supply Chain or Communications

  • Aerospace, Distribution or Logistics Sales
