KLX Inc Sales Assistant in Carson, California


Under direct supervision, performs a variety of clerical duties of a routine and recurring nature including skilled typing, filing, data entry, and preparation of standard forms. Helps and supports sales team in achieving sales goals.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Enters document data (e.g. order entry, quotes, etc.) into computer and types various forms and documents and reviews customer purchase orders to assess order requirements.

  • Proofreads paperwork with computer for part number and for accuracy.

  • Collaborates with sales staff to monitor active purchase orders and ensures order meet requirements and OTD and reviews customer order books and follow-up on actions required.

  • Adheres to record keeping processes and distributes incoming faxes and mail, operates all office machines and takes incoming calls and handles them in a professional manner.

  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required

Required Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent Degree

  • 0-2 year's of related work experience

  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently

  • Clerical practices, office procedures, automated equipment, computers, and math.

  • Customer Service Experience

  • Typing skills (35 – 40 wpm)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's Degree in Business Management or Related field of Study

  • Ability to read, write, and speak a foreign language

  • Experience working with an International Trade team

  • Strong analytical skills
